Evacuation Procedures
Building Safety obligates each tenant to follow the approved Emergency Preparedness and Evacuation Plan. All tenants must participate in the Emergency Plan and provide responsible personnel to assist the Management Office and Security with the execution. Nominated Tenant Representatives play a vital role in successfully executing the safety plans. During the Emergency Plan, the Tenant Representatives assist the Management Office and Security with identifying tenants with special needs, controlling the movement of tenant employees.
All tenants must provide the Management Office with a list of Lead Floor Monitors, Floor Monitors and Alternates. A Floor Monitor shall be provided for each tenancy per floor. When the floor area of a tenancy exceeds seven thousand five hundred (7,500) square feet of occupied space, a warden shall be assigned for each such seven thousand five hundred (7,500) square feet or part thereof. Each floor shall have a minimum of two (2) Floor Monitors.
Floor Monitors will serve as the contact between Security and the tenant’s employees, educate all tenant employees on emergency procedures and plans, coordinate emergency response and serve as a building Floor Monitors.
Evacuation Plan
The Management Office, in conjunction with City of Plano Emergency Plan standards, developed the following roles:
- Senior Transwestern Manager - Has complete charge of the procedures and the specific responsibilities of those assigned in the plan.
- Lead Floor Monitors - Communicates with the Management Office and Floor Monitors during all emergencies.
- Floor Monitors - Serves as the contact between the Lead Floor Monitors and the tenant’s employees; reviews the plan and procedures with company employees; and notifies the Management Office of any special needs employees.
- Alternates - An alternate for each position should be in the building at all times during working hours.
Floor Monitors will serve as the contact between the Management Office and the tenant’s employees, educate all tenant employees on emergency procedures and plans, coordinate emergency response and serve as a building Floor Monitors.

Evacuation Drills
The Management Office conducts emergency evacuation drills at least semi-annually.
As required by the City of Plano Fire Department, all building occupants must participate in emergency evacuation drills. Occupants may be required to leave the building and assemble in an area designated by the Senior Transwestern Manager.
A written record of the drills are kept on the premises and readily available for inspection by the fire department.
